Beyond the AI Pilot: Building the infrastructure to scale AI across ASEAN

Netio Technologies has more than 20 years of experience providing industrial-grade computing solutions for semiconductor manufacturing, industrial automation and smart city applications. TechTrade Asia spoke to Nina Lai, VP, Netio (NL), about scaling AI in ASEAN. Q : Why do successful AI pilots often struggle to scale across ASEAN markets? NL : An AI pilot can be successful in a specific environment, but scaling it across ASEAN is much more challenging because every market has different requirements. Language, data quality and regulatory environments can vary significantly from one country to another. A pilot may work well because it has been designed around a particular organisation's information, data and workflow. When you move that solution to another country, those underlying conditions can change. This means organisations need to look beyond the success of an individual pilot and consider how the underlying data, workflows and infrastructure can be adapted for different m...

Optiqb AI Technology's booth at Tech Week Singapore .  How can businesses bring immersive experiences to everyday devices? TechTrade Asia spoke to Jye Lin, CEO, Optiqb AI Technology (JL) to find out. The company has developed a software engine that when combined with a screen guard or screen protector, can turn a mobile phone, tablet or computer into a professional 3D display. Q: One of the common challenges with traditional 3D experiences is that users complain of discomfort. Is that still a problem today? JL : (Today) users do not need special 3D glasses, dedicated hardware or specially-produced 3D films. The technology uses eye tracking to optimise the viewing angle, which helps address discomfort or dizziness. The technology can also convert existing 2D content into 3D in real time. Q : Would adoption be hindered by the large, power-hungry infrastructure that AI requires?   JL : Our focus is on making the technology practical and accessible rather than limit...
