PSSI increases investments in Appear video transmission technology

PSSI Global Services, a world leader in broadcast transmission solutions, has made another significant investment in state-of-the-art video delivery technology, purchasing a large complement of advanced transmission hardware from Appear, a global leader in media processing and delivery technology. The new Appear equipment will play a central role in supporting upcoming major live events, including the FIFA Club World Cup and FIFA World Cup.  The investment marks a major step forward in PSSI’s continuing evolution toward next-generation workflows, reinforcing its position at the forefront of live event production and transmission services. Foxconn taps NVIDIA to accelerate robotics for healthcare

Taichung Veterans General Hospital (TCVGH), Baishatun Tung Hospital – Mazu Hospital, and Cardinal Tien Hospital are some of the Taiwan-based healthcare institutions using Foxconn’s smart hospital solutions to support clinicians and advance patient care. “Taiwan has a highly developed healthcare infrastructure with a strong push toward digital health transformation, creating the ideal environment for robotic integration,” said Shu-Fang Liu, Deputy Director of the nursing department at TCVGH, which is currently conducting a field trial with Nurabot, a collaborative nursing robot. Veo 3 introduces the ability to generate videos with audio. It represents improvements over Veo 2 for text and image prompting, real-world physics and lip-syncing accuracy. "It’s great at understanding; you can tell a short story in your prompt, and the model gives you back a clip that brings it to life," said Google Deepmind VP Eli Collins in a blog post . Veo 3 is available today in the US, and also to enterprise users on Vertex AI.
