Slack Code: Multiplayer AI software development
Salesforce has announced Slack Code and dedicated code channels, a new surface environment designed to turn AI software development into a collaborative, multiplayer activity. Available across all Slack plans, Slack Code allows cross-functional teams to work directly with leading AI coding agents—including Anthropic’s Claude Code, Cognition’s Devin, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI's ChatGPT, and Vercel agents—in a shared, central space rather than isolated browser tabs. Inside a code channel, the work is organised into dedicated tabs — one for the conversation, one for the agent's plan, one showing line-by-line code diffs, and one with a live preview of the running output — so the team can watch the agent build in real time, not just read about it after the fact.
