About TechTouch Asia

TechTouch Asia Profile / Backgrounder 2026

TechTouch Asia is part of the TechTrade Asia family. It was set up in 2019 to provide more focus for the readers who visited the original TechTrade blog, but only wanted news impacting their businesses. While TechTrade covers news and trends that are significant for the tech industry, TechTouch is about tech news and trends that concern enterprises.

Geographically, both blogs are directed at readers from the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions (APME). Central Asia is occasionally featured.

Stories that appear in TechTrade may appear in TechTouch in a slightly different form, or not at all, and vice versa.

As resources are limited this blog is not meant to be first with the news, and is unlikely to provide a comprehensive overview of enterprise (B2B) technology.

Target Audience

Business and tech decision-makers in enterprises, including small and medium-sized businesses and digital-native startups.

I can provide some general numbers from Google Analytics (please ask).

Frequency

This Singapore-based blog is updated at least once a fortnight. Mondays are the best days to visit, though there are often additions over the week.

Amplification

TechTrade Asia, TechTouch Asia and the tech-related part of WorkSmart Asia share a Facebook account, TechLifeAsia; and an Instagram account, @techlifeasia. Posts may be mentioned on social media, but not often.

Business Model

I do not work on the blog full-time. Content comes from websites, press releases and events that I attend outside of work hours. There is no charge for appearances or coverage.

Rate Card

I do not have a formal media kit or rate card since coverage is generally free at this time.

Editorial Calendar

Content in TechTouch Asia doesn't follow a specific schedule, though there is an editorial calendar for TechTrade Asia. A story with a scheduled topic might end up in TechTouch instead of TechTrade however.

What I can do

- Release coverage

Do email news releases to me for consideration. There may be more Singapore-based content as I am based in Singapore but content from anywhere else in Asia, the Pacific or the Middle East is welcome. Press releases which are a couple of weeks old or more are unlikely to be featured. I visit the wires and the newsrooms of various companies on occasion as well.

- Case study coverage

Case studies are accepted. They should be relatively recent, under 18 months old, and about a customer based in the Asia-Pacific or Middle East regions.

- Bylined contributions

Bylines are accepted. They do not have to be exclusive to TechTouch.

They should be product/vendor-neutral, 800-1,000 words long, about relatively recent technologies that businesses in the APME region can use. They can be prose, or in a Q&A style.

Prose versions can have an optional summary of 3-5 bullet points at the start of the text, while Q&A versions can have a short introduction explaining what the discussion is about.

Bylines suggesting what the industry can do as a whole, or what's lacking in government regulations, are out of scope.

In-person coverage

I might cover events in person in Singapore outside of work hours, or virtual events during lunch hour, but don't really do interviews.

- Limitations

I get more press releases and invitations to press events than I can handle, so can offer no promises as to coverage. Coverage depends on a combination of relevance, timing, and whether I have the time to blog vs my day job. Events that I cover in person do get priority, but coverage again depends on relevance.

Please note that posts may be updated with new content like pictures and links etc after publication.

The blogging process for WorkSmart Asia is explained here, and it is basically similar for TechTrade Asia and TechTouch Asia.
