Dole picks TeamViewer to strengthen IT management and cybersecurity

Dole, one of the largest producers and marketers of fresh fruit worldwide, has fortified its IT management and cybersecurity capabilities with TeamViewer.

To manage its complex IT infrastructure, with thousands of devices across different regions, the company partnered with TeamViewer to revamp its remote support, vulnerability assessment, and security asset monitoring. This move underscores Dole's commitment to safeguarding its extensive IT landscape while propelling its digital transformation journey forward.

Global deployment

deployment of TeamViewer's Tensor and remote monitoring and management (RMM) solutions spans multiple regions, including Singapore, Japan, Korea, mainland China, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Hong Kong, the Middle East, Vietnam, Malaysia, New Zealand, and India, among others.

Collaboration

Dole IT professionals face the challenge of protecting and managing a diverse range of over 5,000 devices globally. TeamViewer Tensor and RMM solutions have seamlessly integrated into Dole's intricate IT infrastructure, leading to an 82% enhancement in operational efficiency.

System integration

The integration of RMM equips the IT team with the capability to efficiently oversee and monitor assets like servers and networks, while incorporating advanced functionalities such as extensive patch management and large-scale software deployment.

Elevated security posture: TeamViewer’s Tensor encryption, multifactor authentication, and threat monitoring fortify Dole's cyberdefence.

AWS: AI adoption grows 20% in Singapore

Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company, has found* that AI adoption continues to accelerate in Singapore. In the past year alone, 27,000 1 Singapore businesses adopted AI for the first time—equivalent to over three new adopters every hour. In sum, nearly 170,000 (48%) of businesses in Singapore have adopted AI 2 , up from approximately 143,000 (40%) a year ago. This represents a 20% year-over-year growth rate, AWS said. AI adoption is the strongest in the financial services industry (71%), followed by the technology sector ( software developers, data analytics firms, cloud service providers, and digital startups) at 70%, and healthcare at 63%. Among Singapore’s businesses that have adopted AI, 82% reported an increase in revenue, at an average increase of 19%, while 90% report significant productivity improvements.
