Gevme introduces the mini-experience for events

Gevme has launched the Event Companion mobile application to improve experiences for event participants, exhibitors and organisers. Event participants can expect to experience better engagement without the hassle of downloading multiple applications, while exhibitors and organisers will enjoy a more effective and organised administrative processes.

“The easing of restrictions and the return of travel saw the pendulum swinging from one end (virtual) to the other (fully in-person)- both of which are anomalies. Now that the dust has somewhat settled, we’re seeing the new world of events- a hybrid one that prioritises having a digital-first approach. We made lots of progress on optimising experiences for attendees at virtual events and becoming a key advocate for the omnichannel experiences even during the pandemic. Now, we are taking the next step to elevate experiences to become pioneers in this new era,” said Veemal Gungadin, founder and CEO, Gevme.`

According to Gevme, event attendees want to retain aspects of their pandemic-event experience, such as tailored session agendas and being able to attend the event from the comforts of their own home. This has led to the concept of the mini experience, a highly-personalised, customisable event experience, enabled by Gevme's app. Use cases targeted at attendees include an interactive combined agenda of event sessions and meetings, interactive venue maps, real-time interpretation into different languages, or providing coupons to be redeemed at physically. Exhibitors, on the other hand, can use the app to capture attendees' details, view the data in real-time, download it for follow-ups, or make notes for each contact onsite.

Gungadin said: "Within a single application, we’re aiming to equip marketers with all the necessary tools they need to build a cohesive and customisable event experience and to stay relevant and competitive in this ever-changing industry.”
