Aqua Security makes cloud-native security software as a service available to APAC customers
Aqua Security, the pure-play cloud native security provider, has announced the general availability of its cloud-native security software as-a-service (SaaS) in Singapore, serving the broader Asia Pacific region (APAC). The Aqua Platform is a cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) that enables customers to adopt cloud-native security best practices as they expand cloud-native footprint and DevOps pipelines.
Aqua customers in government, banking, financial services as well as other regulated sectors can take advantage of the data sovereignty, platform security and flexibility provided by the SaaS to prevent cloud-native attacks before they happen.
The new SaaS builds on two services already being utilised by customers: Aqua’s CyberCenter threat intelligence and vulnerability information database for scanning, and Dynamic Threat Analysis (DTA). Both allow DevOps teams to shift further left - test earlier in the software development process - and incorporate security into their continuous integration (CI) pipelines to identify malware and potentially malicious code.
The full Enterprise version of Aqua’s CNAPP is now available, featuring software supply chain security and shift-left risk-centric vulnerability management, security issue categorisation and runtime protection. Enforcement of runtime protection and monitoring policies is available across containers, including managed container platforms, serverless and virtual machines in public cloud and on-premises.
“We have a number of existing public sector customers in Singapore, and we are committed to meeting our customer needs and requirements,” said Rob D’Amico, AVP of APJ at Aqua.
“We’re seeing a surging interest from customers for an integrated and unified platform that protects the full cloud-native application lifecycle from code to runtime. Eliminating multiple point solutions drives down operational cost and complexity.”
Aqua is growing its partnerships with technology alliance leaders in the region to support APAC customers which want to keep their data local and adhere to compliance regulations. “We have strong partnerships in region, and it allows our local customers to leverage our joint investments in Singapore,” said Luke Bennett, Head of Alliances for APJ at Aqua.
“It’s about providing customers flexibility – both on data processing location and on integration preference across many cloud and technical partners. We are committed to integrate and process data securely, regardless of location, for workloads running in public clouds, on-premise data centres and hybrid architectures. Aqua Security’s platform is both SOC Type II and ISO27001 compliant."
