CrowdStrike launches fully-managed identity threat solution

CrowdStrike Holdings, a provider of cloud-delivered protection of endpoints, cloud workloads, identity and data, has introduced Falcon Identity Threat Protection Complete, a fully-managed identity threat protection solution. 

The suite brings together the Falcon Identity Threat Protection module and Falcon Complete managed service to deliver identity threat prevention and IT policy enforcement, with expert management, monitoring and remediation. 

According to the 2022 CrowdStrike Global Threat Report, nearly 80% of cyberattacks leverage identity-based attacks to compromise legitimate credentials and use techniques like lateral movement to quickly evade detection. Defending against identity-based attacks requires a mix of technology and human expertise, ensuring organisations can respond swiftly to these threats.

“Today’s adversaries are amazingly adept at obtaining and abusing stolen credentials, taking advantage of blind spots in legacy systems, contractor systems and other unmanaged devices to gain a foothold into an organisation and blend in undetected. This is increasingly problematic as it relates to ransomware campaigns," said Thomas Etheridge, Senior VP, services at CrowdStrike.

MDR stands for managed detection and response. 

Etheridge added that Falcon Identity Threat Protection Complete enables organisations to "get full visibility into identity-based threats and respond to them in real-time, preventing attacks from progressing."

AWS: AI adoption grows 20% in Singapore

Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company, has found* that AI adoption continues to accelerate in Singapore. In the past year alone, 27,000 1 Singapore businesses adopted AI for the first time—equivalent to over three new adopters every hour. In sum, nearly 170,000 (48%) of businesses in Singapore have adopted AI 2 , up from approximately 143,000 (40%) a year ago. This represents a 20% year-over-year growth rate, AWS said. AI adoption is the strongest in the financial services industry (71%), followed by the technology sector ( software developers, data analytics firms, cloud service providers, and digital startups) at 70%, and healthcare at 63%. Among Singapore’s businesses that have adopted AI, 82% reported an increase in revenue, at an average increase of 19%, while 90% report significant productivity improvements.
