AVerMedia introduces new NVIDIA-based AI edge systems
AVerMedia has new compact AVerAI NX211B and NX213B AI edge systems designed to leverage the capabilities of the NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX for AI-at-the-edge applications in smart cities, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, robotics, transportation, and more.
- The NX211B is an active-cooled system suitable for industrial environments in confined spaces where temperatures range from 0°C to 70°C. It supports input-output functionality such as two two-lane MIPI CSI-2 camera inputs and a 4Kp60 HDMI output for AIoT and robotics applications*.
- The NX213B is a passive-cooled* system with eight-channel Power over Ethernet (PoE) power sourcing equipment (PSE) ports for IP cameras* and a SATA* port for storage, ideal as an AI network video recorder (NVR) in smart cities and retail applications.
The Jetson Xavier NX module with cloud-native support delivers up to 21 tera operations per second (TOPS) of accelerated computing with 384 CUDA cores and 48 Tensor Cores in a credit-card-sized form factor. It can run modern neural networks in parallel and process data from multiple high-resolution sensors—a requirement for full AI systems.
AVerMedia specialises in hardware and software for image capture and video transmission solutions. The company has been a NVIDIA Jetson partner since 2018. As an NVIDIA Elite partner, AVerMedia develops ruggedised active/passive-cooled thermal designs and technology for the full NVIDIA Jetson lineup, including the Jetson Nano, Jetson Xavier, and Jetson Xavier NX modules.
Using AVerMedia’s accessory-extended video capture card products on the Jetson platform provides the ability to receive HDMI, VGA, SDI, and composite video inputs, as well as dual 4Kp30 HDMI video inputs for collecting real-time video data from different application scenarios for analysis.
*AIoT refers to the artificial intelligence of things, or where artificial intelligence (AI) converges with the Internet of Things (IoT).
A 4Kp60 device displays images with 4K resolution, at 60 frames per second.
An active-cooled system requires power to conduct cooling. A passive-cooled system requires no additional energy to cool.
Internet protocol (IP) cameras can be accessed remotely via the Internet.
SATA, or Serial Advanced Technology Attachment, is a standard for connecting devices to motherboards.
