Huawei Mate 30 to be unveiled March 26

The Huawei Consumer Business Group has announced that the global launch of its high-end Huawei P30 Smartphone Series will take place in Paris, France on March 26.

Singapore customers can now register their interest online to receive the latest updates and information of the launch.

The Huawei P series represents the brand’s finest in professional photography and design. Through its collaboration with Leica, Huawei aims to take its artificial intelligence (AI) photography capabilities of smartphones to the next level, with never-before-seen features to boot.

Since its release in March 2018, the P20 series has reigned top in the DxOMark Mobile list. The P20 series is also popular, shipping over 16 million units worldwide since its launch.

According to the 2018 EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard, Huawei ranked 5th in its global R&D investment in 2018. This substantial investment has contributed significantly to breakthroughs in the user experience, photography and communication technology of Huawei products. The list of innovations includes the Kirin 980, the world's first 7 nm process mobile AI chipset; GTU Turbo, graphics processing acceleration technology; superfast charging technology for smartphones; as well as reverse charging technology for smartphones.

AWS: AI adoption grows 20% in Singapore

Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company, has found* that AI adoption continues to accelerate in Singapore. In the past year alone, 27,000 1 Singapore businesses adopted AI for the first time—equivalent to over three new adopters every hour. In sum, nearly 170,000 (48%) of businesses in Singapore have adopted AI 2 , up from approximately 143,000 (40%) a year ago. This represents a 20% year-over-year growth rate, AWS said. AI adoption is the strongest in the financial services industry (71%), followed by the technology sector ( software developers, data analytics firms, cloud service providers, and digital startups) at 70%, and healthcare at 63%. Among Singapore’s businesses that have adopted AI, 82% reported an increase in revenue, at an average increase of 19%, while 90% report significant productivity improvements.
