Rubrik Code Guardian red-teams code and prioritises cyber risks

Rubrik, the security and AI operations company, has unveiled Rubrik Code Guardian , a custom Claude Mythos 5 harness that red-teams customers’ code based on an air-gapped copy of their repository. A harness turns an AI model into an agent. “Rubrik is one of the partners we are working with to put Claude Mythos 5 's cyber capabilities in defenders' hands, so they can find and validate attack paths before attackers do," said Michael Moore, Cybersecurity lead at Anthropic. “Rubrik will use the model to test code faster and at far greater scale, and to bring cyber resilience up to the speed of AI.” The new service uncovers and prioritises the multistep vulnerability chains an attacker would actually exploit, validates each for exploitability, and turns confirmed critical issues into tracked remediation. “Frontier models are advancing at a fast pace. In the wrong hands, these models can be used to discover, chain, and exploit vulnerabilities at machine speed,” said Arvind N...

Perplexity Portable Computer is now available on Windows

Perplexity is adding Portable Computer in the Perplexity app for Windows on compatible NVIDIA GeForce RTX PCs and NVIDIA RTX PRO Workstations, bringing agentic AI to more Windows PC users. The release builds on existing support for NVIDIA DGX Spark systems and RTX PCs running Linux .    Accelerated by NVIDIA GPUs,  Portable Computer  uses local models to analyse data, bring together information across files and handle recurring work. Sensitive information stays on-device, and locally-completed work doesn’t consume Perplexity Computer credits.  For tasks that call for more advanced reasoning,  Portable Computer  can also identify when a task needs cloud support, asking the user for permission before sending information off-device.  The app simplifies setup with a local model, such as Qwen 3.8 27B, that is post-trained to work with Perplexity Computer and optimised for NVIDIA RTX GPUs. Users can put the agent to work without having to researc...

UiPath: Orchestration is key to scaling agentic AI deployments

Image
UiPath, a business orchestration and automation provider, has found that while enterprises have initial proof-of-concept for their agentic deployments, many remain stuck in that pilot phase, struggling in purgatory as it were to scale those deployments and find a path forward to meaningful return on investment (ROI). The insight is part of a new global report on the state of agentic AI deployments, coding agents, and business orchestration surveying nearly 600 C-suite and IT practitioners at large companies (US$1 B+ in revenue). According to the  Beyond Adoption: Orchestrating the Agentic Enterprise report, fewer than a third (31%) of respondents reported that AI is fully embedded in their business. A closer look at those using AI showed that 35% have adopted AI on a limited basis among select teams, while 11% are stuck in pilot mode doing limited experimentation.  Source: UiPath  Beyond Adoption: Orchestrating the Agentic Enterprise report. Solace: Real-time data is foundational to enterprise AI success

Image
Solace, the real-time data platform for the enterprise, has released a new IDC InfoBrief * which has found that “agentic AI has moved from experiment to operational dependency, and it has quietly rewritten the enterprise’s requirements for how fast data must move.”  Specifically, survey respondents deemed as leaders in real-time data maturity are more than three times as likely to deliver measurable business results across the majority of their AI projects. Leaders also report roughly 23% average annual gains in areas like speed to market, risk reduction and the ability to sense and respond to change quickly.  "Every enterprise has the same AI models. The winners are the ones whose agents run on trusted, real-time data, and the numbers back it up. When data moves in real-time, AI delivers. When it doesn't, AI fails to create sustainable impact," said Paul Fitzpatrick, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Solace. The findings make clear why real-time data has ...

How companies can stay ahead of AI security risk

By Abhishek Kumar Singh, Head of Security Engineering, Singapore, Check Point Software Technologies Everyone wants to move fast with artificial intelligence (AI). Yet, as organisations race to roll out new AI capabilities, a stark reality is emerging: AI doesn't just introduce new security risks, it acts as an amplifier for all the architectural flaws we’ve already been sweeping under the rug. Industry forecasts suggest that AI-related security incidents could drive up to a quarter of all enterprise breaches by 2028. For IT and security leaders, rushing into AI adoption without cleaning up foundational hygiene is an open invitation for disaster. The ground shift "The latest Annual AI Security Report 2026 published by Check Point Research documents a decisive shift over the past twelve months; AI has moved from assisting attackers to operating attacks. Where AI once helped criminals prepare, it now runs live intrusions with minimal human direction," says Abhishek Kuma...

The skills required to manage your workforce of AI agents

Image
By Gaurav Suman, Director of AI and Industry Solutions, Solace The software industry has long understood that reliable systems require a structured, repeatable way of building them. Without a disciplined approach to how software is planned, built, tested, and maintained, quality erodes, and systems become impossible to scale – yielding software that’s fast at first but brittle forever. This truth gave birth to the software development lifecycle (SDLC), a multistep framework that codified methodology as a core ingredient of reliable software delivery.  AI agents are also software, but not software “as we know it.” Built on probabilistic language models, large or small (large language model/small language model or LLM/SLM), there are fundamental differences in how agents are built, evaluated, and governed. Introducing them into an organisation needs an agent development lifecycle (ADLC) applying SDLC’s philosophy of structured, repeatable process to the development and managemen...

The payment infrastructure that accelerates Asia’s SME expansion

Image
As Asian businesses diversify their supply chains, customers and markets, cross-border expansion is creating a more complex financial operating environment. For smaller businesses in particular, entering a new market is no longer simply a question of finding customers or suppliers. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) also need to consider how efficiently money can move between different markets, currencies and payment systems.  Source: Payoneer. Devata. TechTrade Asia speaks with Nagesh Devata, SVP GTM APAC at Payoneer (ND), about why payment infrastructure - the rails and partners businesses rely on to move funds, manage foreign exchange (FX) and fees, access local payment methods and accounts, and maintain real-time reconciliation and visibility - is becoming increasingly important to Asian businesses operating across borders. Q : Why should payment infrastructure be a priority for Asian businesses today? ND : The way Asian businesses trade is changing quite quickly. Compani...

Salesforce, Anthropic announce Salesforce in Claude

Salesforce and Anthropic have announced Claudeforce , an expanded partnership bringing Claude ’s intelligence and reasoning together with Salesforce’s trusted enterprise harness to make its data, workflows, business logic, actions, and governance securely accessible to power agentic experiences wherever work happens.  Salesforce in Claude marks a new era of enterprise AI, Salesforce said. For decades, enterprise software required users to manually navigate a static user interface (UI) to get work done. Now that agents can access the data, workflows, and rules directly, software is a system that powers every interface.  Salesforce in Claude  is made possible by  AIforce  — Salesforce’s trusted enterprise harness that brings all your business data and workflows to any agent through  MCP  servers, APIs, and CLI* tools, without complicated and costly integrations. The two companies plan to introduce more integrations across  Claude, Salesforce,...

Sapient Intelligence accelerates autonomous AI-led research and development

Artificial general intelligence research company Sapient Intelligence has launched PRAXIST , an autonomous AI research and development (R&D) system that takes on complex technical problems and independently tests and validates potential solutions. While AI has rapidly accelerated productivity in content generation and other well-defined workflows, R&D remains inherently difficult to automate and scale, Sapient Intelligence said. Breakthroughs require testing multiple hypotheses, learning from successes and failures, and continuously determining which paths to pursue. Organisations must address this all while balancing specialist expertise, time, cost, and infrastructure. PRAXIST , currently in beta, independently explores which technical approach can best achieve a measurable objective. Users define the goal, parameters, and budget; PRAXIST then autonomously experiments and evaluates the strongest solution. The approach has demonstrated promising results in controlled inter...

Progress Software: Professional services firms lose US$60K a year to inefficient client coordination

Progress Software, an A I infrastructure software provider, has found professional services firms lose a median of roughly US$60,000 annually to non-billable client coordination work. The findings, from its State of Client Engagement 2026 survey, highlight a growing operational blind spot, Progress Software said.  While firms have invested heavily in modernising service delivery, the day-to-day work required to collect information, manage requests and keep engagements moving has not evolved at the same pace. Critical client interactions still rely on manual workflows and disconnected tools, creating inefficiencies that burden teams, delay work and put client experience at risk.  Based on responses from 355 firms across 10 industries, including accounting, legal, financial services and healthcare, the study showed that professional services have learned to absorb a significant amount of administrative burden as part of client delivery. Today, firms spend nearly 20 hours a wee...
