Three flagship cloud services were released at HUAWEI CLOUD SUMMIT 2019 : ▶ ECS C6, the industry's first elastic cloud services using servers based on the Intel Xeon Cascade Lake processor. Cascade Lake performs 15% better than the industry average and can handle 10 million network packets per second (PPS). ▶ Object Storage Service (OBS), which uses unique HUAWEI CLOUD algorithms to achieve the highest performance in the industry. Fujitsu trials AI maritime traffic risk prediction in Singapore

Fujitsu has announced the results of a field trial conducted with the assistance of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) in analysing marine traffic risks in the Singapore Straits. Fujitsu has demonstrated the usefulness of a novel ship collision risk prediction technology that leverages the power of artificial intelligence (AI) in predicting near misses between vessels. Using AI technology Fujitsu Human Centric AI Zinrai developed by Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd, this solution can detect ship collision risks and predict areas where collision risks are concentrated as dynamic risk hotspots. This technology has the potential to be deployed in a Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) system* to assist maritime traffic controllers to manage marine traffic proactively with the aim of improving the safety of navigation. Singapore's public sector takes digital defence seriously

Huawei leads in 2018 growth rates for all-flash storage

At the 16th Huawei Global Analyst Summit , Meng Guangbin, President of Intelligent Storage and Data Management Domain, Huawei’s IT Product Line, announced that Huawei ranked 1st globally in terms of growth rate of all-flash storage market share in 2018. Singapore embraces the HUAWEI P30 with gusto

The HUAWEI P30 Series made its debut at VivoCity in Singapore yesterday, where the phone was sold out by noon. Hundreds were in line to buy the the latest flagship in Huawei's photography-first smartphone family, with the first in line queuing as early as 9 pm the day before. Since its global launch in France last week, the Huawei P30 Series had become known for its integrated Leica Quad Camera, a world’s first, with industry-leading zoom capabilities and low-light performance. Tolly tests Huawei's AI Fabric data centre network solution

Huawei has announced at the Huawei China Eco-Partner Conference 2019 that its AI Fabric Intelligent and Lossless Data Center Network solution has undergone comparison test and verification by the Tolly Group. The test results showed that, in typical service scenarios for data centres that are oriented to artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, Huawei AI Fabric has superior performance to competitive networking solutions.
