Fleet intelligence that complements speed limit compliance

Fleet management and intelligence solutions provider Cartrack Singapore has launched a Speed Limiting Device service to help heavy vehicle fleet customers meet new road safety regulations. The service streamlines the installation of speed limiters, aiming to reduce administrative burden, operational disruption, and cash flow concerns for clients. 

After installation, Cartrack’s fleet intelligence platform enables proactive safety management that addresses the full spectrum of road risk through features such as real-time speed monitoring, instant alerts
for speeding risks, and driver behaviour scoring for data-driven coaching. Detailed reports then support management oversight and maintain ongoing compliance.

Rogerio Calisto, Group CEO of Cartrack Singapore, said that comprehensive telematics monitoring alongside speed limiters is what creates truly safe fleets and roads. “At Cartrack, we recognise that road safety isn't just speed. Speed compliance is essential, but it’s only one piece of the safety equation,” he said. 

The speed limiter operates independently of Cartrack’s fleet intelligence platform, ensuring full compliance with the Singapore Land Transport Authority’s requirements against tampering or modifications.

AWS: AI adoption grows 20% in Singapore

Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company, has found* that AI adoption continues to accelerate in Singapore. In the past year alone, 27,000 1 Singapore businesses adopted AI for the first time—equivalent to over three new adopters every hour. In sum, nearly 170,000 (48%) of businesses in Singapore have adopted AI 2 , up from approximately 143,000 (40%) a year ago. This represents a 20% year-over-year growth rate, AWS said. AI adoption is the strongest in the financial services industry (71%), followed by the technology sector ( software developers, data analytics firms, cloud service providers, and digital startups) at 70%, and healthcare at 63%. Among Singapore’s businesses that have adopted AI, 82% reported an increase in revenue, at an average increase of 19%, while 90% report significant productivity improvements.
