Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft Entra ID brings data resilience to identity management

Veeam Software, the data resilience specialist, has launched Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft Entra ID. With Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) facing over 600 million attacks daily*, protecting organisations’ digital identity has never been more critical, the company said.

Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft Entra ID is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) backup solution designed to simplify data resilience for Entra ID tenants, ensuring organisations can protect their essential assets. 

Support for Entra ID is the latest extension of Veeam Data Cloud, a unified cloud platform. Delivered with the simplicity of SaaS, Veeam Data Cloud integrates modern cloud-native technologies and AI acceleration to protect, secure, and manage data on-premises and in the cloud.

Protecting Entra ID includes not only addressing cybersecurity threats, but also managing compliance requirements, recycle bin limits, accidental deletions, and policy misconfigurations. Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft Entra ID offers backup and restore capabilities for Entra ID users, groups, application registrations, and other objects, providing an all-in-one cloud service with unlimited storage and a unified user interface (UI) for a streamlined user experience.

As part of Veeam Data Cloud, customers can manage all their workloads across a single interface, extending the platform’s features to Entra ID and future workloads. These include capabilities such as role-based access control, reduced complexity, and streamlined reporting, all while offloading maintenance, updates, and security fixes.

AWS: AI adoption grows 20% in Singapore

Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company, has found* that AI adoption continues to accelerate in Singapore. In the past year alone, 27,000 1 Singapore businesses adopted AI for the first time—equivalent to over three new adopters every hour. In sum, nearly 170,000 (48%) of businesses in Singapore have adopted AI 2 , up from approximately 143,000 (40%) a year ago. This represents a 20% year-over-year growth rate, AWS said. AI adoption is the strongest in the financial services industry (71%), followed by the technology sector ( software developers, data analytics firms, cloud service providers, and digital startups) at 70%, and healthcare at 63%. Among Singapore’s businesses that have adopted AI, 82% reported an increase in revenue, at an average increase of 19%, while 90% report significant productivity improvements.
