Singtel has won the Technology Innovation Leadership and Customer Value Leadership awards for excellence in 5G Enterprise in Asia Pacific, while its subsidiary, Trustwave, received the Cybersecurity Services Company of the Year award at the Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific Best Practices Awards 2022 award ceremony.

The 20th Awards recognise companies that demonstrate best practices and achieve superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development.

The Technology Innovation Leadership Award celebrates companies at the forefront of innovation and growth in their respective industries. Singtel’s commitment to innovation in the 5G enterprise space is exemplified through several first-of-its-kind initiatives, such as the development of GENIE, the world’s first portable 5G-in-a-box service which enables enterprises to set up a portable 5G network and trial use cases on premises within 60 minutes, removing the need for any prior installation of equipment or infrastructure.

Singtel also developed Paragon, the industry’s first all-in-one 5G and multi-access edge computing (MEC) business orchestration platform to accelerate 5G and MEC solution deployment at scale. With Paragon, enterprises can deploy dedicated resources for advanced, mission-critical 5G applications – such as autonomous robotics, virtual reality, augmented reality, digital twin, video analytics, artificial intelligence and more – in real-time with assured service levels and minimal cost overheads.

Singtel has also been working closely with governments and enterprises to understand their challenges and needs to develop solutions and services that will help them achieve their digital transformation and innovation ambitions. Its investments in regional capabilities and intuitive technology solutions such as Paragon, 5G and edge computing, have enabled enterprises with the flexibility and scalability to operate more efficiently and productively. These efforts garnered Singtel the Customer Value Leadership Award in recognition of its business growth and customer impact.

Dennis Wong, VP, Enterprise 5G & Platforms, Singtel, said, “The wins are an affirmation of the impact of our 5G solutions and services in supporting enterprises with their digital transformation needs. Singtel is committed to innovating to lead the industry in 5G adoption so enterprises can take full advantage of the opportunities the technology presents to develop new solutions and services, and grow their business.”

Trustwave, on the other hand, stood out for its extensive security offerings, commitment to innovation and dedication to providing customers with high-value cybersecurity services. Together with Singtel and NCS, another subsidiary within the group, Trustwave delivers a suite of market-leading detection and response offerings that give customers comprehensive visibility and protection across endpoint, network and cloud workloads, thus helping them enhance their overall cybersecurity posture.

Eric Harmon, CEO, Trustwave, said, “With over two decades of global industry leadership, we thoroughly understand the threat landscape and are focused on finding even the most difficult threats, while providing world-class detection and response solutions to global enterprises. We are committed to our clients’ success - to help them conduct their business securely amidst the evolving market needs and threat landscape.”

The award winners were identified using a measurement-based methodology comprising extensive primary and secondary research, in-depth interviews, analysis, and industry benchmarking. A detailed study was further conducted on each of the nominated companies, focusing on real-time performance indicators like market share, revenue growth, customer acquisitions, product/service value and technology innovation.

These awards follow Singtel’s recent accolades for its enterprise and 5G solutions and services. It took home the Best 5G Mobile Innovation for Paragon, and Best Internet of Things Initiative for its multi-domestic connectivity solution (MDCS) platform for the deployment of connected vehicles across different markets in the Asia Pacific region, at the Global Carrier Awards in October. In November, Singtel also picked up the Beyond Connectivity Award for enabling enterprises to move up the 5G value chain with end-to-end offerings, and the IoT Innovation Award for its MDCS at the World Communication Awards.
