Yealink launches intelligent 360-degree camera

Yealink, a global unified communications (UC) solution provider, has launched an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered 360-degree all-in-one camera, the SmartVision 60.

The Yealink SmartVision 60 makes hybrid meetings accessible for everyone. Designed for small to medium-sized meeting rooms, the SmartVision 60 is fully compatible with Microsoft Teams and integrates a 10K resolution 360-degree camera, two sets of multifunctional microphones, and speakers to deliver an inclusive and immersive experience at hybrid meetings.

The Multi-Stream People Feed feature creates individual video feeds of four in-room active speakers and stitches them together, showing the panoramic view of the room at the same time. The feature enables everyone at the conference table to appear facing front and in the centre of the screen.

With two sets of microphones, the SmartVision 60 can cover a 6 m audio pickup radius from all angles in medium-sized rooms. The camera supports AI features including the Cortana voice assistant and automatic speech-to-text transcription in real time, with speakers identified by their names.

The SmartVision 60 is included in the Yealink MVC S60 Microsoft Teams Rooms system for a native Teams meeting experience. The MVC S60 bundle video solution includes a SmartVision 60 intelligent 360-degree all-in-one camera, a MCore Pro mini-PC, a MTouch Plus touch panel and a WPP30 wireless presentation pod. Users can also choose a mini-PC from Dell or Lenovo for their Microsoft Teams Rooms.

AWS: AI adoption grows 20% in Singapore

Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company, has found* that AI adoption continues to accelerate in Singapore. In the past year alone, 27,000 1 Singapore businesses adopted AI for the first time—equivalent to over three new adopters every hour. In sum, nearly 170,000 (48%) of businesses in Singapore have adopted AI 2 , up from approximately 143,000 (40%) a year ago. This represents a 20% year-over-year growth rate, AWS said. AI adoption is the strongest in the financial services industry (71%), followed by the technology sector ( software developers, data analytics firms, cloud service providers, and digital startups) at 70%, and healthcare at 63%. Among Singapore’s businesses that have adopted AI, 82% reported an increase in revenue, at an average increase of 19%, while 90% report significant productivity improvements.
