Indosat drives digital transformation, greener mobility for Xanh SM in Indonesia
Xanh SM, a pioneer in electric vehicles from Vietnam, is working with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) to accelerate digital transformation and support sustainability initiatives
IOH, working through Indosat Business, is integrating information and communications technology (ICT), Internet of Things (IoT), and analytics to create smart mobility solutions for Xanh SM. The partnership not only enhances operational efficiency and customer experience for Xanh SM, but also strengthens the sustainability of the vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia, IOH said.
As part of the collaboration, Indosat and Xanh SM will focus on key milestones, starting with an initial six-month pilot testing phase to explore and refine solutions, followed by a comprehensive rollout in subsequent stages.
To enable smart mobility, Indosat will provide a connectivity solution through its Card Management Platform, including Cisco IoT Control Center, allowing flexible control and monitoring of SIM cards. This technology supports streamlined operations and optimised user experiences. Additionally, operational efficiency will be further enhanced by connectivity solutions such as SIM cards for taxi units and tailored mobile packages for Xanh SM drivers.
IoT technologies will monitor critical driving metrics, including speed, acceleration, and behaviour, identifying anomalies or potential vehicle issues to ensure safety and efficiency. Indosat’s advanced data intelligence will enrich customer profiling and behaviour analysis, enabling targeted campaigns and programmes to elevate the customer experience.
Aligned with Indonesia's national sustainability agenda, Indosat has launched a Green Technology Program aimed at reducing carbon emissions, with Xanh SM playing a key role as a partner in driving impactful green initiatives in the automotive and transportation sectors. Xanh SM’s modern electric vehicle fleet will not only provide a comfortable and ecofriendly transportation experience but also contribute significantly to lowering environmental impact through energy-efficient technology.
Muhammad Buldansyah, Director and Chief Business Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison said: “We are proud to partner with Xanh SM to accelerate digital transformation while promoting the adoption of sustainable technologies. This collaboration combines Indosat’s expertise in ICT, IoT, and analytics with Xanh SM’s ecofriendly technologies. The launch of this electric taxi fleet is a significant step in strengthening our commitment to sustainability and green technology to benefit the people of Indonesia.”
Nguyen Van Thanh – Global CEO of Xanh SM said: “Together with Indosat, we are optimistic about accelerating our business transformation sustainably. By leveraging the ICT, IoT, and analytics technology offered by Indosat, we can enhance operational efficiency while delivering services that positively impact both customers and the environment.”
