Exhibition highlights at BEX Asia 2023

BEX Asia 2023, held in September 2023, presented over 250 market-ready and innovative products and solutions, including smart building solutions, software to improve productivity and efficiency, data-driven solutions, mixed reality training, building information modelling (BIM), and digital twin technology.

Companies participating at the event included:

• Ailytics, which had a customisable portable AI video surveillance system at its booth. The recently-launched 15.5 kg solution is solar-powered and equipped with a CCTV built for outdoor use. Ailytics' AI-powered video analytics software, Ailyssa, can lead to a 7x increase in hazard detection and halve the need for manual inspections. Some of the risks that Ailyssa can detect include open edges, vehicles nearby, and the presence of personal protection equipment (PPE). There are installations in Singapore and Hong Kong, a booth representative shared. • OneClick LCA, a software company that helps the construction industry reduce carbon as it manages cost (Finland). The company has the expertise to help businesses perform life cycle assessments (LCAs) that quantify the lifetime environmental effects of a building. While LCAs should ideally be performed at the construction stage, they can also be carried out on existing buildings, a booth representative explained. Clients include Arup, Arcadis and JLL.

DataMesh Digital Twin Visualization/Mixed Reality that leverages BIM/CIM and CAD data to reproduce the work scene (Singapore).

• Johnson Controls International, a global provider of smart building solutions with a portfolio of solutions from HVAC, security, safety and building controls and automation (US).

Get or Green Energy Tech comprises five modules which provide insights on utilities to manage costs and carbon emissions; digitalise tenant utilities and billing; provide intelligent controls for occupant comfort; educate and engage stakeholders on sustainability; and charging for electric vehicles.
