Searce to help Sky Mavis make the most of Google Cloud technology

Sky Mavis has chosen Searce, a cloud consulting provider, as its implementation partner for Google Cloud. By strengthening Sky Mavis' security infrastructure, Ronin, this collaboration is expected to accelerate the company's goal in Southeast Asia to establish an interrelated, immersive and rewarding gaming ecosystem.

Launched by Sky Mavis in February 2021, the Ronin network was built with the Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) for seamless transactions within Sky Mavis’s Blockchain game - Axie Infinity. Axie Infinity garnered more than 2.9 million monthly users in Southeast Asia at its peak.

Sky Mavis welcomes collaborations and partnerships where up to 21 independent validators will authorise and validate blocks to ensure accurate transactions on the network. The partnership with Google Cloud and Searce marks Sky Mavis’ 18th partnership with an independent validator.

Searce will provide 24x7 support, managed services and application engineering services to help Sky Mavis maximise the adoption Google Cloud solutions. Google Workspace is expected to help Sky Mavis with the effective and efficient integration of a highly secured integrated single workspace consisting of Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc. 

Additionally, Sky Mavis wanted a solution that automates application deployment and game server coordination. Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) will help enable Sky Mavis engineers to focus on developing and improving game offerings.

AWS: AI adoption grows 20% in Singapore

Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company, has found* that AI adoption continues to accelerate in Singapore. In the past year alone, 27,000 1 Singapore businesses adopted AI for the first time—equivalent to over three new adopters every hour. In sum, nearly 170,000 (48%) of businesses in Singapore have adopted AI 2 , up from approximately 143,000 (40%) a year ago. This represents a 20% year-over-year growth rate, AWS said. AI adoption is the strongest in the financial services industry (71%), followed by the technology sector ( software developers, data analytics firms, cloud service providers, and digital startups) at 70%, and healthcare at 63%. Among Singapore’s businesses that have adopted AI, 82% reported an increase in revenue, at an average increase of 19%, while 90% report significant productivity improvements.
